Today Buzludzha is an abandoned place. But glorious days were lived here by the Communists of Bulgaria. The building looks like a space ship (this is actually the nickname for it amongst the Bulgarians I met). Its main room, the central space, it's richly decorated with mosaics depicting the big names of original Communism and assorted scenes with strong political influence.
Specific visit requirements:
The building is abandoned. There are multiple entrance spots for those willing to get in. As abandoned, it doesn't have an official website, but Googling Buzludzha will return plenty of articles and pictures galleries.
