There are not too many children's rides in front of grocery stores, but here is one with easy access right outside the entrance at the north corner of the HEB Grocery store. It appears to be in good condition. The sign along the base of the mechanical horse says the cost to ride is 50 cents in quarters only. The horse is named "SILVER" ... I guess as in the Lone Ranger's "Hi Ho, Silver, Away ..."; but the kids who would ride this horse have no clue about that vintage TV show. Besides, the horse the Lone Ranger rode that was called Silver really was a white colored horse, unlike this gilding of the same name. Kids will enjoy it anyway. Happy Trails to you.
