The San Juan Cemetery is one of those community cemeteries you can drive past for years and not realize it is there. The San Juan Cemetery is believed to have been started in the late 1850s or early 1860s. It have about 300 marked graves and many more that are unmarked. Its location is in southern San Antonio, in Bexar County, and is on the west side of Graf Road, close to where Graf intersects S. Presa Street. It is wedged between the Southern Pacific railroad tracks and S. Presa Street. There is a wrought iron fence around the cemetery and the main gate is kept locked.
