There are two friezes, one rectangular, kind of large and very high up on the building. The other is a very long, narrow, rectangular frieze, stunning and emblematic.
The large frieze has the name Father Judge High School incised up top above the four square panels which make up the frieze. The first section is titled Industry and features a blacksmith hammering on his anvil and a woman holding a baby in the air for some strange reason next to a guy stretched out in a questionable way. The next panel is titled Agriculture with a fellow reaping a sheath of wheat with a shirtless dude next to him clearly from another era. The next panel is called Devotion and features some folks on their knees praying. Next comes spiritual guidance which I just don't get. A bunch of people are standing around, loitering about not doing too much. Finally, there is something called Mission Church and has a quaint, country-styled church in the background.
The upper frieze I believe is a crest of the school. It has a dove with a branch in its mouth on a small rock or something in the water, a couple of old-fashioned skeleton keys, some pull strings like you would find on some fancy drapes and other designs.
