Long Description:
Obertor (Upper Gate) was the Southern entrance to the town in the 13th century. Most parts of the fortification were teared down in the 19th century. This gate - called "Törli" by locals - remained as the town's landmark.

The stamp is 2.20 CHF of the definitive stamp series from 1964.
