Wasdale Head attracts many visitors to walk on the fells (hills) and just admire the unspoilt scenery. The valley bottom is still farmed and a maze of public paths lead out on to the fells. The paths are between dry stone walls gathered from the fields. Excess stones are heaped at wall junctions.
