The Town Shelter was built by local craftsmen. It is also a bus stop shelter for local bus services.

The inscription reads:

There is a wooden bench seat running the length of the shelter which has an Owl, the town symbol, above the date, 2000. On the roof is a small lead roofed turret with a three-face clock given by Watsons, a local Estate Agent.
