Ok. Don't worry, you won't be doomed by those ghosts. Not because they don't exists, but mainly because the building is not a commercial hotel anymore. It's privately owned.

As you can read at (visit link) there were several reports, some of them were published in books about Ghosts and Hauntings "More Ghosts and Legends of the Wiltshire Countryside" (Kathleen Wiltshire, Melksham, about 1978) and "Ghosts of Wiltshire" (Peter Underwood,Bodmin, 1989).

So, some of the hosts and the owners report seeing a black dog in the entrance of the hotel. Funny fact. Dogs were forbidden in the premises of the hotel. Was that a dog's revenge? Most of the hotel guests would say they tripped on a dog that was standing in the entrance. When they went back to check it out, there was no sign of a dog nowhere near the place!

Some would report have seen a man playing pipes, dressed in Victorian clothes sitting by the hotel's lounge. Yet again, there was none like that registered in the hotel.

Some weird things also happened in the cellar where wines and beer would be messed up.

If you could, would you book a couple of nights there?
Public access?:
No. It's now privately owned. You can look at the building from the road.
