Geary School, built in 1890 was located at 4th and Madison. The structure became the home of the Eugene Vocational School in 1938. The Eugene Vocational School (1938-1959) and the Eugene Technical-Vocational School (1959-1965) were the predecessors of Lane Community College. A large shop building was built at the location in the early 1940's. These shops are now used by the 4J school district. The School itself is gone with a parking lot in its place. Source: (includes a 1941 photo of the shops) Lane Community College Archives
