Opened in 1926, the Arcadia now sits unused and dark on a street in downtown Kerrville while the newer multi-screen cinema on the outskirts of town shows 10 movies at a time.

Opened in 1929, the Arcadia originally had a Spanish style exterior and a much smaller sign. At some point, likely between the late 30's and early 50's, the exterior was changed to the Streamline Moderne style.
According to Cinema Treasures, 851 moviegoers could watch the latest from Hollywood on its single screen.
