The Cleveland County Confederate Memorial stands on the grounds of the Cleveland County Courthouse in Downtown Shelby, North Carolina. The Statue stands facing Lafayette Street and honors the Confederate Veterans of Cleveland County. The Memorial was dedicated on November 21, 1906 and restored and rededicated on September 15, 1991 by Cleveland Guards Chapter #443, United Daughters of the Confederacy.
The Monument is inscribed:
“In Honor of the Confederate Heroes of Cleveland County”
