The monument is placed at the southern entrance tot he nature area "Loonse en Drunense Duinen" and consists of a bronze bowl with the date of the shooting, surrounded by a bronze strip laid out in a square and mentioning the first names of the fourteen men.
In addition, four rocks are placed with the names of the resistance fighters.
In front, a plaque is placed with text translating into:
On 24 May 1944 in the police prison of Haaren fourteen young men were sentenced to death for various acts against the occupying force. In these dunes the sentence was committed on 26 May 1944. This memorial was erected in memory of those who gave their life so we may live in freedom.
This text is followed by a list of organizations and people who have donated funds for the memorial.
