Simple but nice Marian Column on a main square of Kostelec nad Orlicí./ Jednoduchý, ale hezký Marianský sloup na hlavním námestí mesta Kostelec nad Orlicí.

The simple and modest Marian Column, without other statues just with nice Maria Immaculata statue on its top. The pedestal is decored with aliance coat of arms and latin inscriptions. On this pedestal is placed the column of height about 6 m, finished with Corinthian capital with four angels. Virgin Mary (Immaculata)has about 2 meters and holds gildened metal attributes (bunch of flowers and aureola). The corner columns of a balustrade around the column are decorated with plants motifs.
The building of the column was donated by Earl František Karel Záruba in 1707.

Marianský sloup je jednoduchý, prostý, bez doprovodných sousoší. Na dvoustupnovém schodišti stojí balustráda se ctyrmi rohovými sloupky, zdobenými rostlinným dekorem a se ctyrbokými kuželkami. Vlastní sloup je osazen na sokl s aliancními erby a nápisovými plochami. Drík sloupu s patkou je vysoký zhruba 6 metru a je zakoncen korintskou hlavicí se ctyrmi andílky. Samotná socha Panny Marie Immaculaty je vysoká 2 metry, pricemž kovové pozlacené atributy (tedy kytice a svatozár) jsou zrejme pozdejšího puvodu.
