Dakin Farms started out as an old time Vermont family farm. They have survived over the years by diversifying - ran a cross country ski area on their land, sold christmas trees, shared space with Climb High outdoor gear equipment store and becoming known for their cheeses, meat and maple products. They have a giant fiberglass facsimile of a Gallon Jug of Syrup that stands over feet high. With prices of Grade A maple syrup the way they are, it would take close to $30,000 worth of syrup to fill the darn thing up!!
