"Girl Scouts from Troop No. 684 provided improvements and enhancements to Sherwood Park in Melbourne, following several instances of vandalism. Amela Bard, a senior at Melbourne Central Catholic High School, rejuvenated the pool area, while Jessica Alexander improved the playground and picnic pavilion. Lisa Marie Vaccaro, a senior at Viera High School, refreshed the baseball field by power washing and adding an artistic design to the dugouts."

Sherwood Park is located on the south side of Post Road just east of the Sherwood Elementary School. The park offers a place to engage in several recreation activities. The park has a baseball field, swimming pool, sheltered picnic areas, grills, benches, and a playground.
