The present Church of St David dates to 1108 replacing an earlier sixth century structure. The building is listed as a Grade I structure by Welsh Heritage. The exterior of the church was renovated during the 19th century. The early church is thought to be associated with Saint David (Dewi Sant), the patron saint of Wales, who is thought to lived in the area. The alter of the church is located so it points to the rising sun on St. David's Day, 1st March.
The church is open for visitors every day at all hours.
