The centre of Bradford sits in a bowl, surrounded by hills. The main shopping area is on one of the hills above the centre and so the buildings and roads had to be adapted to the geography.
In Victorian times Bradford was a rich woollen town, and many attractive buildings were constructed. Times have changed now reflecting, the more modern use for the building.
