The sweeper is a bronze statue depicting a defensive kick by "the sweeper". The statue is placed amidst the Tranquility park soccer fields in Omaha Nebraska. The sculpture was created by artist Raymon Anderson. Edward and Georgena Eggleston, former residents of Norfolk, Nebraska and long associated with the sport of soccer, donated the sculpture to the City of Omaha. The goal of the statue is to encourage wider interest in art.
