There was a great fire in the year 1726 which has destroyed huge parts of Reutlingen's inner city.

There was a great fire in the year 1726 which has destroyed huge parts of Reutlingen's inner city.

The fire started on monday 23th of September 1726 between 20.00 h and 21.00 h in the house of the shoemaker Friedrich Dürr.

The fire hold up three days and destroyed 882 houses. So more than 1200 people became homeless. Four of five parts of the city was destroyed.
