The Beatles Story is the world's leading Beatles-themed museum and visitor attraction and is based in Liverpool, birthplace of the Beatles.
The Beatles Story was established in 1988, opening in the newly developed Albert Dock in May 1990.
The Beatles Story explores the story of the Beatles chronologically, from the first meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney to the eventual break-up of the band and their lives after the Beatles.
In 2003 the Beatles Story introduced the Living History audio guide produced by Antenna Audio and narrated by John Lennon's sister Julia. This is now available in eight languages, making the Beatles Story one of the leading UK attractions in foreign language provision.
In 2008 Merseytravel bought the Beatles Story; Liverpool's public transport body and runs the Beatles Story alongside other attractions including the world famous Mersey Ferries, Spaceport, the U-Boat Story and the Mersey Tunnel Tours.
2008 saw the Beatles Story triple in size from 8,000sq ft to 23,000sq ft to include the interactive Discovery Zone, special exhibition and Going Solo areas, an expanded Fab4Store and online shop and Starbucks Coffeehouse.
