The original section of the church, the Sanctuary, is a Camp Adair chapel. I don't have any history on this move, but the rest were moved around 1947. This church is beautiful inside. It is well worth the time to look if it is open. If you enter the main entrance, the Sanctuary is to the right. There is no website for this church, so the "Related website" is my Camp Adair web page that lists all the chapels that I have found so far. If this is the first Camp Adair chapel you have found, you may have no idea where Camp Adair is. Camp Adair is located north of Corvallis, Ore on highway 99-W. It is a treasure trove of geocaches and history. After the Army closed it in 1945, the "Hospital Hill" area was taken over by the Navy to treat our wounded sailors and Marines. This lasted maybe two years, then the hospital was remodeled into apartments to rent to Oregon State College students that were attending on the G.I. Bill. In the 60's Hospital Hill became Adair Air Forse Station for a SAGE radar base. At that time, they started a BOMARC missile site in the old army camp area. It was never compleated as by then the BOMARC was considered obsolete
