First, the name. I suspect it is one of those poor translations into English. Second, the restaurant. It serves tasty, though not outstanding, vegetarian food.
It is small, seats at most thirty people, and has a rather plain decor. Having said that, the food is good, there is a large and wide variety of menu items, the staff are friendly (and happy to see the very few westerners, who make it to the restaurant), and the prices low, us$5 will buy you a full meal. The cons are, that little English is spoken by the staff, and the menu is in Khmer, no English, though each item has an accompanying picture. Your requests (at least mine were) for an exposition on the menu items will be met with a shy smile and 'I don't know'. There is also a great deal of pseudo-meat on the menu.
Finding this restaurant is just a little tricky. It caters to a Kymer clientele, thus it is back from the river (the Mekong), where most of the tourists and expats hang out. It is situated behind the new 'City Mall Shopping Centre'. It is not visible from the road, but proceed under the KFC archway (!), and you will immediately see the unassuming, green coloured restaurant, all alone. If in doubt, keep an eye out for the large water tower, the restaurant is almost directly underneath. A tuk tuk or 'motor cycle taxi driver' will cost you us$5 for a round trip from the river. Tell them 'City Mall Shopping Centre'.
