A very nice milestone situated at the top of the slipway of the Lower Dart Ferry at the bottom of Fore Street, Kingswear.

The milestone is a rectangular granite post and dates from the early part of the 19th century. It is unusual in having the distances recorded in miles, furlongs and poles.
