A black-and-white picture of Bruce Lee is set in the red granite of his tombstone above his name, etched in gold lettering. A shiny, jet-black slab located at the base of the headstone reads: “Your inspiration continues to guide us toward our personal liberation.”

Description:
Born in San Francisco in 1940, Bruce grew up in Hong Kong, then returned to the U.S. when he was 18. He lived in Seattle for 4.5 years in the early 1960s. Lee opened his first kung fu studio while studying philosophy at the University of Washington. He had little regard for martial arts tradition, telling his students to focus on their own talent and to eliminate wasted motion. Lee went on to star in numerous martial arts films which is what he is best known for. His most well known movies include Enter the Dragon, Return of the Dragon, Game of Death and Fists of Fury.
