The former silo on the Peck Farm has been converted into an observation tower overlooking the 18-acre lake on the park property.
A spiral spiral staircase takes visitors up approximately 30 feet to study the restored prairie, the old farm buildings or just for birdwatching.
The stairs and landings are diamond-tread sheet metal and can echo tremendously within the confined space of the silo. So if you are adverse to loud noises, this may not be the place for you.
