This vintage ambulance is part of the outdoor display of the Minnesota Military Museum located on the grounds of the National Guard's Camp Ripley near Little Falls, MN. The museum boasts the finest in outdoor military equipment displays, outside and within the out buildings in the area. Indoors the military displays are equally impressive with weapons, artifacts, uniforms and much much more. The area is a treasure trove for waymarkers, history and military history buffs.

I i/4 Ton Ambulance (M725)

This series of ambulances was an interim successor to the long-running series that Dodge produced. Consequently, the specifications and performances were nearly the same. This ambulance could carry four litter patients and six ambulatory patients sitting on seats. It was designed and built by Kaiser Jeep of Toledo, Ohio from 1967-1969. This model saw some use in Vietnam.

This ambulance was donated by Preston and Kate Smith of St. Paul. Restoration was completed by Jerry Ryan who has restored many of the museum's vehicles and aircraft.

Data: Weight 6,400 lbs; Top Speed 60mph; 6-cylinder, 230 cubic inch Jeep Tornado engine, 132 hp at 4.000 rpm, cruising range 225 miles.

Funds for restoration contribued by Fort Snelling Flower and Garden Club.
