Conrad Weiser and Shikilammy kept the peace in the Eastern Pennsylvania area for many years. Shikellamy was appointed by the Iroquois. The two kept peace in the area for over 20years.
Description: At a young age Conrad Weiser learned to speak the Indian language and customs. Shikelammy and Weiser kept the peace for over 20 years until the British and the French made the Indians chose sides, peace ended around 1755. Weiser was commissioned a Lt. Colonel and was responsible for manning the line between The Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers.
Weiser was active in local affairs. He was a magistrate, helped found the City of Reading and Berks County and was it's President Judge up till his death.
