It would appear that the two reliefs on this Memorial was either transferred to this building OR, more likely, this building was once something other than an art center and gallery as it is now. The reliefs are just two of the pieces in this Memorial on the left side of the entrance to the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. Two of the pieces are plaques which list the names of those from Ocean County, NJ, who died in WWII. Another piece is a circular relief sculpture depicting "Mother Victory". A rectangular relief sculpture depicts a dead? woman with the words "The dead can not change their minds." above her. near the right hand corner one can read "Fort Dix" and the date and name of the artist "1943 Boris Blai" Under this relief is also a a name: "Lt. Emory Laslocky" and presumably that is the name of the person depicted on the nearby bust of a soldier.
