"Rising Sun Tavern, 1306 Caroline St., this frame building was constructed in the mid-eighteenth century by Charles Washington." per the NRHP application - link below.

Now owned by the private non-profit organization Preservation Virginia (APVA) who opens it for the public Mondays thru Saturdays during March-Oct at 10AM-5PM and Nov-Feb at 11AM-4PM. Open Sundays year around noon-4PM. Admission is $5 adults, $2 students.
