There are two bells at this fire house museum. One sits in front overlooking the Lincoln Highway and this one, can be found on the right side of the station. The bell has an inscription which reads Rescue Fire Company, York PA. The bell was made by J. Regesten & Sons (founders). The top of the bell has relief letters which reads Patd July 13, 1865.

The bell is supported by two railroad ties which in turn in on a concrete pad. It rests on the side lawn. Although the bell has the name of Rescue Fire Co. on it. there is no mention of it anywhere on the net. I did learn the firehouse was the home of Royal Fire Company No. 6, now home to The Fire Museum of York County.
