This dog was "the faithful mascot" for the Reliance Fire Company for seven years. Although the memorial is kind of worn, it is 73 years old, I think the inscription reads he rode on the seat of the apparatus. Mike, the dog's name, died January 29, 1938. The dog to be about fifteen years of age. No one could tell me if this is a memorial or a memorial and a grave.
