I suppose even fairies need to 'get away from it all' from time to time, especially the ones living in urban settings. The State of Alaska has apparently had a lot of demand for such accommodations in their parks, so they have set one up in Kachemak Bay State Park at Halibut Cove.

This house, made from an old tree and sits attached to the stump it was made from, includes a peaked house, with a door, and 'evergreen' trees to provide shade. The house is situated near the Ranger Station at Halibut Cove, which is the main entrance to the park.

Traveling to this location requires flying, or stowing away on a water taxi. There are no roads to the park. Thus, the parking coordinates are for the nearest land location, Homer Spit, where a water taxi can be picked up.

There is no indication of who built the house, though a good guess might be a park ranger. It looks recently made and should last a few years.
