The Albuquerque First Church of the Nazarene was established in 1919 after a tent meeting at the corner of 7th and Central. The original First Church gave birth to several new Churches in order to minister to Albuquerque's ever growing population. With each bold step, the congregation prepared the foundation for the opportunities of ministry we enjoy today.
In 1987, the congregations of First Church and Montgomery Heights
united in the vision of ministering to the fast growing community of Albuquerque. Heights First Church was born! With great faith the HFC Members began building at the corner of Barstow and Paseo Del Norte with a vision of a campus atmosphere that would be inviting to the surrounding community. That vision of Christian worship and community outreach captures the spirit and heartbeat of the HFC Family thirteen years later.
