This historical marker is located at the back of Childers Middle School, next to the Ray Harral Nature Center. It tells about the natural spring that the early residents in Broken Arrow got their water from. Located near this marker is another one commemorating one of Broken Arrow's early citizens, Ray Harral. There is a nice trail leading back to the woods, with a suspension bridge that can be seen from the marker.

Text on marker:
City Water Spring
For years, beginning in 1909, pure sparkling water from a spring here was piped to the water tower behind City Hall. The city grew Christmas trees here during the depression and sold them in town. As new water sources were secures for the growing town this area was landscaped for the beautiful Ray Harral Nature Park.
