Immediately to the west of the well-known Rock Cafe in downtown Stroud, at the corner of N. Second Avenue and E. Main, lies a small park named Ed. Smalley Centennial Park (Also known as Ed Smalley Memorial Park). Edgar N. Smalley (1924-2005) was a local resident and businessman in Stroud, and one-time owner of the Rock Cafe.
This area contains a lovely gazebo, beautiful landscaping, a bronze eagle sculpture and a war memorial. The area is directly on the main street of Stroud (Route 66), and offers visitors a place to sit and ponder, and a nice green landscaped area right in downtown.
There are no recreational or eating facilities here - just a spot to stop and relax.
