The University of Management and Economics has, as its name suggests, a 'practical' orientation to the courses it offers: management, IT, economics, law and tourism.
There is a UME campus in most major Cambodian towns. The Battambang campus is new, and a distance to the east of the town centre. I visited the Battambang campus during a Buddhist/Cambodian national holiday, thus the gates were locked and no staff were present. The campus is located to the east of the town, and looks to house somewhere between 500 and 1000 students, in a single, main building.
