Shacklesborough Trig Point is located at the top of Baldersdale in County Durham. It keeps company with a very tall cairn which stands a few feet to the west. There are great views all around.

Shacklesborough Trig point is no longer used for surveying purposes by Ordnance Survey. It was originally levelled in 1948 and last maintained in 1983. The flush bracket on the side of the pillar was originally 454.152 metres above sea level(Newlyn Datum).
