The Iron age hill fort was built during the time of the Celts in Wales. The tear shaped fort occupies what in English is known as Table Mountain a flat-topped hill at the southern edge of the Black Mountains in south-east Wales. Its stone ramparts are clearly visible and the outline of the fort is easily seen in on the satellite view on Google maps.

There are a few routes available to the top which is relatively short (about a mile). Drive north from Crickhowell watch for public footpaths and find a place to pull your car off.
