The Poplar Hollow Picnic Area is part of the larger Youghiogheny Recreation Area. Poplar Hollow is all the land on the Fayette County side of the dam breast. At the Picnic Area the following facilties are available for public use:
* 12 Picnic Tables with shared charcoal grills
* Modern Comfort Facilties
* Pay Phone
