These beach huts are accesable by a gravel road and have electricity connected. The longest footbridge in the Southern Hemisphere - at an impressive 395 metres connects Whananaki South to Whananaki North. The bridge is the width of three planks of wood, plus handrails, across its entire 395 metre span. On the north side is a shop, school, hall and library.
