A memorial on an area of grass at the junction of Benington and Clay End Roads.

The memorial is a simple cross on a square plinth and a
three stepped octagonal base. The cross carries a copper laurel wreath and
sword.
Panels have been incised into each side of the plinth and
carry inscriptions carved into the stone. The inscription on the front face
reads
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
THE MEN OF THIS
PARISH
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
FOR
GOD AND COUNTRY
HONOUR AND DEEPEST
GRATITUDE
TO ALL WHO FOUGHT IN
THE
GREAT WAR
1914 – 1918
On the front face of the top step is the inscription
AND IN THE SECOND
WORLD WAR
1939 – 1945
[NAMES]
Names are inscribed on the other three panels of the plinth.
The memorial was unveiled by Mrs Cotton-Browne and dedicated
by the Rev W Mills on 3rd July 1921.
