Beautiful, old country church out in the middle of nowhere. The vistas and church are reminiscent of something out of a countryside watercolor.

There is an old sun-washed stone which bears several dates of this country church. That was how I determined the date. The date marker is on the bell tower, near the bottom, just over the Gothic-topped front door. It is kind of hard to read. According to the stone, Salem Gulden's United Methodist Church was originally built in 1856, rebuilt in 1888, burned and rebuilt in 1904. The cemetery has approximately 150 plus graves. There is no direct mention of this church anywhere to be found on the net yet the church seems to be active and viable.
Date the Church was built, dedicated or cornerstone laid: 01/01/1904
