THE CHARLOTTENBURGH FOREST MOUNTAINBIKE AREA better known as THE 'BURGH. Located near the west end of Caber Road, southside, several kms north of the Hwy 401, exit 804 for Summerstown, Ont.
This little gem of a park has something for everyone, whether biking or hiking. All the stunts have a "chicken run" for the less advanced riders and several loops of singletrack of varying difficulty through the forest. Most of the trails are on a ridge that gave birth to the old gravel pits and therefore the narrow twisty singletrack has many "armoured" sections, rock gardens and the ever present "baby heads" for an all around afternoon of enjoyment.
A photo with gps would be nice proof of your visit. Don't forget the nearby cache(s) and other waymarks, if you still have the energy.
UPDATE: June 24/06, the trails still offer an advanced technical ride but the wooden stunts and bridges are falling into disrepair and should be avoided....unless you are volunteering to repair them!!!
