The Mourning Soldier - Atlantic City, NJ - Figurative Public Sculpture on Waymarking.com

This is one of three sculptures by Thomas Jay Warren at the New Jersey Korean War Memorial. (Another of his sculptures, The Union Worker Memorial WM9RB4 is very closeby.) This sculpture depicts a contemplative soldier holding his helmet in his right hand and ruminating over a handful of dog tags in his left. The Memorial also has a nearby relief of other members of the armed services, Warren's reliefs of 4 Medal of Honor heroes and a wall engraved with the names of New Jersey natives who perished in the War.
