This is the newer companion piece to Kathleen Crocetti's Strawberry Fields window. It's the same large scale at 10 foot by 4-1/2 foot, composed of many thousands of translucent glass tiles adhered to a plate of glass. The subject is a local agricultural treasure, the summer fields of flowering begonias - which are not grown for cut flowers but to propagate their bulbs for sale. The specific photo which inspired this stained glass was published in a local journal, SantaCruz Wire.
