In the 600 block of E. Main Street, south of the Santa Fe Depot Museum is a small area known as Centennial Park. This area contains several monuments and markers of an historic nature.
This monument is brick and stands about 5 feet high. Its plaque reads: "Centennial Park Dedicated September 22, 1991 Pottawatomie County Strong Past Stronger Future Time Capsule enclosed to be opened September 22, 2091."
