This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Wenham. The letters "H" (for Hamilton) and "W" (for Wenham) are painted on opposite sides. It is approximately eight inches square and three feet high.
To reach the marker, drive to the parking area at the Pleasant Pond Recreation Area. The marker is about 100 yards into the woods, heading northwest, from the north end of the parking lot.
