This unrestored church dates mainly to the 13th century and there is an information leaflet about the font inside.
The font is thought to be pre-Norman and has some primitive carvings. Each side depicts a different picture such as the Lord's baptism, the Lamb of God, a lion and two eagles. These images are more Anglo Saxon than Norman suggesting its early date.
It stands on four columns supporting the bowl and the complete font stands on a stepped plinth.
