Text of the plaque:
"In memory of
Angelina Cantacessi
April 13, 1996
tree planted by
Templeton Girl Scout Troop #704"

There doesn't seem to be any news available on Ms. Cantacessi. It's sad to think she may have been a young girl scout at the time she died, but it's a happy possibility that she was one of the first scouts or scout leaders in Templeton history. Girl Scouts, USA, was founded on March 12, 1912, shortly before Templeton first had enough students to form a high school class (1916).
Location of the tree: 206 Fifth Street

Type of tree: Spruce
