It is divided into 2 fixed sections at each end, and the center span swivels on the white concrete pylon to allow the passage of boats on the canal. The third pylon in the middle of the canal, visible on the far side of the bridge, acts as a mooring post for the bridge.
The shape of the bridge is said to synthesize the figure of a couple dancing the Tango.
